It's difficult to determine the exact ice retention time as it depends on several factors: the ice format, the quantity used, the location of the cooler (in shade or under direct sunlight), and how often you open it. However, we can confidently state that the Pioneer is one of the best on the market.
Rotomolding, short for rotational molding, is a manufacturing process that ensures exceptional durability and quality in cooler construction. This technique involves heating and rotating a mold filled with plastic resin, allowing it to evenly coat the interior surface and form a seamless, one-piece structure. The result is a robust, impact-resistant cooler with uniform thickness throughout.
The weight is 35 pounds. While it may be slightly heavier than some cheaper coolers, it falls within the same range as other high-quality coolers. The outside dimensions are 28 inches (length), 22 inches (width), and 18 inches (height), while the inside dimensions are 23 inches in length, 16 inches in width, and 13 inches in height.
The interior lighting operates thanks to a light sensor that automatically turns on when it is dark and the lid is open. Powered by high-efficiency LEDs, it consumes little energy. It features an automatic shut-off mechanism that turns off after 2 minutes if the lid remains open.
To put things into perspective, this equates to approximately 80 standard-sized cans or enough space to store food for several days for a group of friends or a family. Whether it's a camping trip, a day at the beach, or a backyard party, this cooler provides ample space.
The airtightness of a cooler is crucial for preserving the freshness of stored items. The Pioneer is equipped with a large rubber sealing gasket and two T-latches, ensuring a secure closure that seals in the cold and prevents warm air from entering.
The aerogel, located in the lid, is renowned for its exceptional insulating properties, thanks to its nanoporous structure that traps air molecules, thus minimizing heat transfer. Despite its lightweight, aerogel provides remarkable thermal resistance, making it ideal for applications where space and weight are critical factors.
How ecofriendly?
